2012 here we go!

I hadn't written since August 2011.... I guess July and August 2011 were difficult for our family.  I am hoping 2012 brings more hope and more happiness to those who suffered in 2011. My mom used to say that there were years that were difficult by themselves, and then things got better the next year.

I do believe that after darkness, daylight will come. Winter is hard, but we have the hope of spring and summer. Above all, we should count our blessings.

Life brings you poetry but it also punches you on the face when you least expect it... One of my favourite Spanish singers, Serrat, put music to the verse of Antonio Machado and said it just right:  Verso a verso y golpe a golpe:
